Course Structure and Content

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user. Persons working at this level will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications and digital media technologies.

On successful completion of this course the students would be awarded the ICT30118 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology which is a nationally recognised qualification. This could help students gain entry into career paths or further education in the field of ICT.

Core Units

• Contribute to copyright, ethics and privacy in an ICT environment
• Implement server virtualisation for a sustainable ICT system
• Install and manage complex ICT networks
• Match ICT needs with the strategic direction of the organisation
• Produce an ICT network architecture design
