Course Description
The ICT60615 Advanced Diploma of Telecommunications Network Engineering will prepare you to meet the growing industry needs of today and tomorrow. This qualification reflects the role of a technical specialist with high level skills and knowledge in telecommunications and information technology networks using internet protocol (IP) systems that can:
- Forecast network growth for enterprise network planning
- Design and manage IP based network telecommunications equipment
- Implement convergence technologies in enterprise telecommunications networks
- Design and manage optical and wireless network telecommunications architectures for high speed broadband capability.

Entry Requirements
Course Admission Requirements
- Completion of high school studies equivalent to Australian Year 12 schooling OR
- Completion of secondary school/ A level education overseas OR
- Applicants must be minimum 18 years of age.
English Language Requirements (for international students only).
Where the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) require evidence of English language proficiency for the student visa application process, will be required to provide proof of English language proficiency.
- IELTS Test Score of 5.5 OR
- TOEFL (iBT) Test Score of 46 OR
- PTE Academic Test Score of 42 OR
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) Test Score of 47 OR
- OET Pass Grade OR
- TOEFL (PBT) Test Score of 527 (only if IELTS is not available) OR
- If you are an international student currently studying in Australia and have studied for a period of 6 months or more at AQF Certificate III level or above.

Requirements for student visa are:
- enrol with an Australian education provider as a full-time student, and obtain written confirmation of this enrolment (predominantly

- have the required level of English language proficiency unless exempt
- have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the period of your intended stay in Australia
- have access to sufficient funds to cover your return airfares, tuition fees and the cost of living in Australia, as well as costs
- required for any dependents included in your application.
- The exact amount of funds a student requires is set by Department of Home Affairs (DOHA), and is determined by your chosen education
- provider, your course of study and other personal circumstances.
- must be 6 years or older
- prove you have a welfare arrangement if you are under 18
Course Duration
The duration of the course is 104 weeks, including 24 weeks holidays. Students must attend a minimum of twenty (20) face to face timetabled hours per week.
